Activities are over for the season at the Point. The kids had an exceptionally busy last week of activities with a Game Night, Tennis Scramble, Pizza and a Scavenger Hunt all thanks to Ginna Yerrall. The second of the season ladies Porch Party was hosted by Susan Anderson and thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended, thank you Susan.

The Casino is now closed for the season; tennis courts will remain open, as will the playground. Playground bricks are available for purchase by calling Alison Butterworth; a 4x4 brick is priced at $145. and an 8x8 is priced at $175.

An order form will be available on the website in the fall.

Congratulations to Roy and Marian Hussey who celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Aug. 23.  The Hussey family will be gathering this weekend to celebrate Marian’s 92nd birthday, a very happy birthday to her.

The weather certainly cooperated on Saturday August 19th for the wedding of Matt Whitehouse and Denise Shannon at the Wilson Chapel.  Family and friends gathered to witness the exchange of vows which was presided over by Rev. Thomas Kerr. A reception was held at the Gallery in Boothbay Harbor following the ceremony, congratulations to Matt and Denise.

Enjoy the weather and have a great week!
