Dear Community Members,

The Ocean Point Colony Trust aims to foster an inclusive and engaged relationship with the community to further our mission. The OPCT is dedicated to responsible stewardship of properties and resources and to creating programs and activities at Ocean Point, Maine, for the enjoyment of all. To that end, the board seeks community members interested in joining a committee dedicated to community outreach.

The committee would aim to raise awareness of the OPCT’s resources and activities, ultimately bolstering contributors.  Specific initiatives and outreach efforts would be created, planned, and executed by the committee members with the support from the OPCT’s board’s leadership. Some initial ideas include a brochure or mailer with key OPCT information, designation of ‘Ambassadors’ to connect with residents and visitors of the Point to encourage engagement/participation in OPCT activities, among other ideas for further discussion. 

We anticipate a time commitment of attendance at two hour long meetings per month to launch an outreach program through the start of the summer 2024 season.  We anticipate additional time commitment to execute initiatives as planned by the committee members.
